INTERNATIONAL SILKEN WINDHOUND SOCIETY
OVAL TRACK RACING PROGRAM

The success of the ISWS straight racing program and our growing coursing program has encouraged the organization to bring oval racing to the Silken Windhound breed. Sighthounds have been participating in oval racing for many years under the auspices of the National Oval Track Racing Association (NOTRA). Our rules follow NOTRA rules and will be familiar to those of you who have raced your other sighthounds at NOTRA meets.  The rules are available for download here as is the current grading guide.

Our inaugural oval meet was held in November 2008 in northern California at an RCRA (River City Racing Association) meet.  Many thanks to those clubs who let us run our meets in conjunction with their own scheduled meets
